Alright, I'm just starting to build my system and so far have only been able to obtain a single rt55i speaker (mint). It was suggested to me that I use it as a center as I've had difficulty acquiring a second speaker.

I'm looking on ebay to acquire some mains and am wondering which speakers will match if I have the rt55i as the center. I see a listing for a pair of SDA-CRS's and another listing for a pair of Monitor 5JR's. Will either of those match and what is the expected price range? Thanks.

I have a Velodyne CHT-10 sub.

they will work, but will not be a timbre match. finding a pair of rt55's would be perfect obviously, I would go with the crs over the on 5 given only those 2 as an option. I, for a time, actually used RT55's and a pair of Mon 5's as a center, so I've done the no timbre match thing in the past as well.

The 55 will work fine for a center.
Look for other RT series speakers to match the best. RT1000i, RT2000i, RT3000i RT55i RT35i ect.
Surrounds for that era are FX500i and FX1000i

There are probably more but this gives you something to look for.

I've been looking out for RT55's on ebay but most of the time shipping is outrageous.

Thanks for the offer but I'm more considering bipole speakers for the surrounds and the rt25i's aren't the size I'm considering for my mains.

I am new to this forum and I have the rt55 your looking for. I joined this site thinking I would be able to sell these to people that are smart enough to realize what I have.
According to the rules I can't list them for sell in classified until I post 25 times. I sell quite a bit on ebay but was afraid they would be underbid.

I've parting out my system before because my step sons take everything for granted. I sold my sony 400 disc dvd changer because my stepsons were taking the dvds out and giving/selling them to their friends. Needless to say I have my entainment system sitting in my closet collecting dust. let me know if you are interested.
