Speaker Levels

I was just curious as to what would cause two seemingly equally placed speakers in a room to have to be calibrated differently. My R speaker is set at -3 via SPL and the L at -1. I have them pretty much toed in equally. What else would make such a difference?

Beautiful setup! Your room seems to open to the right, that could make a considerable difference.

Thank You...true ...I just find it fascinating. The open space is behind the seating area to the right though. That would still matter?

it could be the wall reflection. I have my mains located where I have to have one louder than the other. It does not bother me so lond as the sound is right. Just adjust it to where it sounds right and enjoy it.

Sometimes a recording will have a channel that might overpower the other channel, recording engineers are not always perfect. You're the listener, do what sounds best.

The whole set looks fantastic with the matching cherry fronts and center. The room feels very warm and inviting and I bet that HT system sounds amazing.

True, but you would expect to need more volume on the right side, not the left.

Nice setup! Congrats on those new speakers!
