Goldring 1000 series cartridges

Hi gang. I currently have a Goldring 1022GX. I've read several places, including Goldring's web site, that the 1000 series share a common cartridge body. But, I can find no any information regarding interchangibility of the stylii.
One might assume (always a risky proposition) that the 1042 stylus would work with the cartridge body of the 1022. A replacement stylus can run fully $100 cheaper than a complete cartridge--hence, my interest. Does anyone have experience with the Goldring 1000 series in this regard?

The swap out is very simple. The old stylus body pulls out from the cartridge and the new slips right in. I upgraded my 1012 to a 1042 the exact same way -- a significant improvement.Main System:
PreAmp: Rotel 1098 with MF X-10v3
Amp: Rotel 1090, 1075, 1070
Source: Pro-Ject RM9 with Blackbird Cart., Denon 2900 with MF X-DACv3
Speakers: Gallo Ref 3s (LR), Gallo Due (C, SR, SL), Gallo Micro (RR, RL)
Second System:
Receiver: H/K AVR 630
Source: Pioneer 563
Speakers: Polk RTi10s (LR), CSi5 (C), RTR 200 (SR, SL) -
Ah, that's what I was hoping! Thanks so much!!

Happy it worked out for you. That was my experience as well.
I knew that if I, with my 10 barely-functional thumbs, could manage the stylus swap, anyone else would find it a snap!Main System:

Ortofon's OM series share a common cartridge body too. A small tool came with my Grado Gold to get the stylus off it.
