She could sit in a chair and stare at the camera for three hours and I'd still probably watch. If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Watching it now, the guy that came out like Darth Vader, his name sound something like Charles Barkley, with all the star wars guys in the band and Chewie on the drums made it worth watching for me, very cool
Oh and Jessica Alba is VERY nice also!Casey

I second that! The King Kong/ real estate skit was pretty funny.
Gnarls Barkley - Crazy. Very catchy, the costumes were great. -
Won't be watching even the commercials....

There was a time when MTV attempted to give its awards to those videos which were innovative and well-done pieces of film set to music. Many times, the artists were not regulars on the top of the charts... and .... wait for it..........
not even popular with the teen demographic which made up most of MTV's audience.
Think Steve Winwood winning Best Video in the late '80's with "Roll with It"
or Peter Gabriel
even Pink Floyd
the awards at least attempted to maintain some sort of integrity even being sandwhiched between MTV's usual "irreverance"
now #1 single = #1 video -- with no reward whatsoever for artistry or creativity, which believe it or not, could be found from time to time on the network during it's formative years (no, the Hall and Oates videos do not count)
how the hell does the same tired video with a bouncing hooptie and hoochie win best video year in, year out?
oh well....
and since when did VH1 start rocking harder than MTV?!!!?
end rantI never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -
MTV sucks and so does virtually everything on it.

By the way, this was the MTV MOVIE awards, which has nothing to do with music. The movie awards are actually surprisingly watchable, the music awards, not even close. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
