Neither you or I are in their shoes so neither you or I are hardly qualified to speak for them. I'm not saying they're in the right, but I'm not lowering myself to assume that they're insane or whatever based on hearsay by Ann Coulter the historian. But of course, that's how she sells books. She's controversial. Do you honestly think people buy her books because it's a valuable resource for accurate history? Please..
She said they're insane? No, she called them on becoming millionaires on their husbands deaths and by being used as props by the left as untouchable spokespeople. They aren't grieving at all, how can they be? Do you think knocking elbows with Puff Daddy or whatever the hell he's calling himself these days is part of the grieving process? If Ann is guilty of anything it's being too blunt, but sorry man, she's spot on with her comments. Where are the other 2900+ people on this? Where is their voice? Seeing the point she was making yet?
Why do people buy her books? Well, she's polarizing, so I know you're not buying her books. You wouldn't be able to get through 5 pages without throwing it across the room. She realizes people like yourself won't like her no matter what she says so she doesn't hold punches and is very entertaining.
I agree with the vast majority of her opinions, and that's why people buy her books. -

Yes, I'm aware of their urging for the 9/11 commission.
Yes, I'm aware that they supported Kerry in the 2004 election.
Are you aware that we live in a Democracy? What's wrong with that?
If these women were Bush voters and had simply challenged nothing and nobody for what I would consider to be the 2nd biggest sacrifice one could make for their country, something tells me Coulter would have never even mentioned them in her book.
Politics. Book sales. **** ****. And yes, I have read both Treason and Slander b/c I find this type of rationale very intriguing. Actually, I found Slander much more enjoyable from a literary perspective. Treason was just retarded from start to finish. But if you want the last word Dave, it's yours. I'm out. -

What I'm not aware of is, in a democratic government, what's wrong with that?
If these women had simply laid down and challenged nothing and nobody for what I would consider paying the ultimate sacrifice for one's country, not mention if they voted for Bush, something tells me Coulter would have not only crucified them, she wouldn't even have mentioned them.

Funny you won't respond the the rest of my commentary about Ann's comments.
I don't care if these women want to be heard, because that's not what's being argued. Nobody said they don't have the right. You still don't get it. Being heard is half the battle. Having people disagree with you is the other part of free speech. You're disagreeing with me right now, correct? Why can you disagree with me, but not a 9/11 victim? Can't call a spade a spade because of what happened? The left holds them up as spokespeople that can't be criticized on their commentary simply because they are grieving victims. It's ****.
Night time, although I'm sure this thread will disappear by morning. -
Ann Coulter's statements are as obnoxious as Ward Churchill's, pure and simple. In both cases, their egos and self-riteous statements show nothing more than a blindness to their own arrogance.
Just because those widows choose a platform to make sure that 9/11 is remembered in a certain way and our gov't should learn from that event does not make them evil or living the high-life that Coulter claims. She is just mad that they have a liberal view. The fact is, these ladies have found a way to turn sorrow into action. I won't agree with everything they have said or will say, but more power to them for practicing democracy. That is something Ann Coulter can't handle, an opposing view as it pisses her off. Democracy only works when many points of view are heard.Review Site_ (((AudioPursuit)))

It's not a claim, it's a fact. Do some research. -
So what if they're millionaires and they visit with celebrities, that is not the issue. Ann Coulter made a personal attack based on their politics. Had they been republicans she would have been praising their efforts. But by God, since they think different, they are evil. Sorry Demiurge, had she stuck to debating their viewpoint instead of their lives she may have had a point. But instead, she only belittles herself.Review Site_ (((AudioPursuit)))

lets just end the whole Ann Coulter thing. It's my fault I brought her up, and it's derailed an otherwise good thread.
Osama you're next.
