Hi there,

Thinks my sub amp/driver is faulty, give out a "pop pop...." sound whenever there is heavy bass and there's a loud "boom" when turning off the main switch. Did call the local service center, but the charges was like USD140. So now I' thinking iit's worth servicng or just get a new one? Hope someone can give some advice or help me in troubleshooting or repair it myself. Thanks for listening.

Good Day !
Yxiang

PS: my sub is 3 yrs old model PSW 202 Polk Audio.

It's not worth fixing. Buy a new sub.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

I second that. It's time to upgrade. Consider this a blessing!
