I have some 16 inch speaker stands that I am going to make taller.
The back speakers are 16 inchs tall. How high would you put the fronts?
24-31inches??? They are going on the side of a 46 inch projection tv.

i like 24" myself. For example I know Polk recommends the 30" stands for rti4's but that doesn't make any sense. When I sit, the tweeter of the polk is ear-level, which is what you want to accomplish.

Well thank you the back speakers are going to hard to get ear level he are sitting on a end tables.Everything I own burned in the fire!!!!!!!!!!

Remember how the surround speakers are placed in a movie theater and place your surrounds in the same manner.Movie soundtracks are designed for that type of placement.TRUST me it will sound better.
-
Also the tweeters for the front speakers should be at approximate seated ear level in order to get the best sound from them.

Hi there,
Thinks my sub amp/driver is faulty, give out a "pop pop...." sound whenever there is heavy bass. Did call the local service center, but the charges was like USD140. So now I' thinking iit's worth servicng or just get a new one? Hope someone can give some advice or help me in troubleshooting or repair it myself. Thanks for listening.
Good Day !

You don't want the rears right at ear level. this applies to the fronts only.
