My Home Theater Room consist of the following:

Qty 6 - LC265i's In Wall Speakers in a 7.1 surround configuration
Denon AVR-4306
Infocus IN76
106" fixed screen.

I am not able to use another In-Wall speaker for the center channel because of the way the Home Theater room is setup (there is several studs in the wall where I would insert the center channel just below the screen). I would like to know your recommendations on a specific center channel speaker that would match the sound qualities of the LC265i's and also placement of the recommended speaker (mount on the wall or speaker stand, etc). Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

Have you already installed all your In-Walls?

Chances with your stud situation you'll still have to go with the LSIiC, but some professional home theater designers prefer above the screen mounting for the front speaker array. The reason is that our hearing is less acute when the sounds come from above. Therefore, it is easier to fool our hearing into thinking the sounds are coming from the screen when the speakers are mounted over the screen rather than under the screen. In addition, if you have two rows of seating, having upper mounted speakers provide unobstructed sound to the back row which results in superior intelligibility.

As I said, more than likely if you have extra studs in the center below the screen then chances are the problem will exist over the screen. But just in case the problem is confinded to the lower location, I thought I'd pass on the information about the upper mounting options. Obviously that will require ample ceiling height to pull off. If this is possible then you could use an other LC265i for your center.
