Running 8 Speakers of a 4 channel amp?

So i want to throw 4 more speakers in my sytem and was wondering if i could do this with my current 4 channel amp (carbon 4 channel). If i can do this, how would i go about wiring this, or would I be better off just buying another amp? THanks

put 2 speakers on each channel, + to +, - to -

SO would i have to split or splce into the line? or could i just run two lines form the amp, also how woudl sound quality be,? Woult it be just as good as running two amps, or should i really get two amps?

Two amps is probably your best bet.

Just my $.02 but unless those are subs, there is really no need for 8 speakers.

thing is i want my system louder, i want it to churn peoples souls when they hear my system, so that is why i wnat 8 speakers.

i dont understand what you mean by splice?

SQ wont be as good as 2 seperate amps because youre running the amp at a lower impedance. Whether you can actually tell the differenece is different from person to person.

Adding 4 more speakers wont make it much more than 3 db louder.

That 400.4 will have enough power to easily damage your hearing. You should look into adding some subs if youre wanting more volume. Get a couple Carbon 500.1's and a couple MM2124DVC's and thatll do 10 times more for being louder than adding 4 more speakers.

3 dB for highs is a LOT louder than 3 dB in subs...
