Finally placed an order for a SVS 20-39PCi late last night.

I'd been considering one for a few weeks now, and their new summer sale was just the ticket. Suprisingly enough, it shipped this afternoon and is on its way to my home right now... I can't wait!

I'm off to CC first thing in the morning to pick up some good demos. SW: Ep1 is my top pick right now, you guys got any other ones (CD, DVD-A, DVD)?

Aren't there two versions? If so, does one have a DTS track included?

    Joe:

    Here ya go:

    U-571 (DTS)
    Das Boot
Saving Private Ryan (DTS if you can find it)
    Atlantis
    Blade
    Titan AE
    The Haunting
    The Matrix
    Pearl Harbor (DTS)
    ID4
    Armageddon
    Toy Story 2

Please keep me posted on how you like the 20-39PCi. I'm amazed you got it so fast - many posters in other HT forums have been waiting weeks because of the backlog.

I'm currently considering the SVS 20-39CS Ultra with the Samson S1000 amp, or the soon-to-be-released 20-39PC+, or the HSU VTF-3.

    What are you upgrading from?

I had a PSW350 for about 6 months, but I traded it in last month at Circuit City, along with my 35i's, so that I could upgrade to a pair of RTi70's for mains.

I'd never really heard anything about these subs until I checked out all of the threads about them over at the HTF. I usually don't order expensive stuff over the internet, but with all the great reviews about the PCi line, I finally gave in and ordered one.

I was going to wait for a PC+ but Ron from SVS e-mailed me and said that they probably won't be shipping the new line out until sometime in August. :(

I'll be sure to post some pics and a short review after it arrives and is set up sometime later in the week.

Yeah, I've got my 350's on Ebay right now. I hope they sell.....

I disconnected them and hooked-up a homebrewed sub consisting of a Harmon Kardon hk870 high current amp fed by the two LFE jacks from my receiver driving a pair of New Advent Loudspeakers.

The Advents don't handle as much power as the 350's, and can be overdriven by the gutsy HK amp, but they dig pretty low and can still move some air after all these years (actually these are replacement woofers - the old ones rotted out in the foam surrounds). I'm actually having fun with my "new" sub!

I figured as much that SVS wouldn't be shipping PC+ until July or August - it's a nice piece that's for sure. I still might go for the twin CS+ and the Samson amp and sell my Monster sub cables but the plug and play aspect of the PC+ is nice.

Again, let me know your impressions of the PCi, and what size room you have, etc. I'd really like your opinion.

Damn you Joe, damn you! ;) Just kidding, I've also been eyeing that 20-39PCi for a few weeks, and the sale was just the ticket I needed, I didn't know they were doing that.

I ordered mine yesterday. I put in a question in the order asking if they were backlogged at all because of the sale, and within a few hours (on a Sunday) received an email saying it should ship today. :D
I'm thinking U-571, Atlantis, Starship Troopers, and The Matrix will be first through the wringer.

    Joe and Dylan,

I have had my SVS 25-31PCi for about 6 weeks now, and I like it more each time I hear it (plus I have a 13x26 room with a 20 foot ceiling)...you will both be pleased and surprised on just how "Big" it really is....You are also lucky since I had to pay full price and wait almost 30 days to receive it....Sounds great with my RT800i - CS400i - F/X 500i and I Sold my PSW350 to get it!!

I auditioned a 25-31PCi at a friend's house last night for several hours. See my comments under the subwoofer section.
