After waiting for a month for my Onix x-ls to arive the are finially here! After listening to them for a day im very impressed with how these little bookshelves sound. the build quality is amazing, and the finish is outstanding! Hard to immagine theyre only a $200 pair of speakers. They have a rich midrange and the bass is much tighter and punchier then my Dahlquist M903's. Bass Extension isnt all that great, but thats why my x-sub is on the way later this week!

I bought these for use in my dorm room next year as a music system and am powering them with a Teac A-1D integrated, which has no trouble driving them at all. The CDP is a Sony CX355, 300cd changer which i am satisfied with right now although im gonna need somthing else a bit smaller, as its Gynormus!

I had been wondering how these sounded. At least from someone off of the AV123 forum anyways. It really almost makes me wish I waited to get my RTI4's. I plan on getting the x-sub and would have loved to be able to get the maple finish....but with the cherry 4's, it would look awful so I'm planning on the black.

And how are you getting your x-sub next week?! I've had one on order since the begining of May and they keep telling me they wont have any in until mid July because of a revision change.

I love it, for the price it was just the thing i needed. Got it for $200 shipped and as a desktop integrated it works well. The looks are great and it has some nice features like pre-outs which i will be using with the sub. It also has a Direct input to bypass the treble and bass controls which is cool. The brushed aluminum on the face is a nice touch. I havent had much to compare it too so im not sure about how these speakers would sound with other amps.
The remote control is nice and can control the matching tuner and CDP if you have them. Im looking at getting the matching CDP but I can only find 1 place online that sells it and its overpriced, $225.

Anybody else been able to find one of these? its the TEAC C-1D.
