Yes, I was this close *holds finger really close together* to getting them for my current system. I decided not to because I was got to go with Helix. Then I changed my mind again when I saw the discount I can get with rockford fosgate.

Theybe been bought out, but theyre supposed to be the same as they were before, just a new look. But yea, these are fantastic amps that truly are better than a lot of whats out there.

You really are a **** idiot huh?

Rockford Fosgate has the most versatile amp line ups I've ever seen. But I forgot youre the guy who knows everything:rollseyes:

Out of all the people Ive ever met on a forum, you are by far the most ignorant. You truly are a **** idiot

No need to use foul language...didn't your mother teach you anything??

Yeah, Sony Xplod line is "versatile" too! Did you ever consider them??:D So, i guess RF is clearly superior to Polk Carbon too?? Hell, Polk is even worst than JL...they only have one line of amplifier! Again, your logic is clearly flawed.

Me, ignorant??...let me link everyone to this wonderful thread:

    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41315

Your knowledge in that thread is just overwhelming....:D Remind me, which Audio shop do you work for?? I will advise people to avoid it like the plaque!

That's funny. Maybe you need to go and learn more from FOBs like myself to improve your grammar and spelling! And BTW, you need to know more about my level of education before spouting off that mouth of yours. You don't want to have to eat your words, do you??;)

Yeah, I avoid plaque too. It really makes the teeth look bad.

Dude, I didnt know you worked for Jacks! They have one of those in my adopted home town of Temple and I think there is one in Waco too. I didnt realize he was so spread out.

Now back on topic, yes US Amps are excellent pieces. I have never liked the name, ranks right up there with Rainbow and sounds like a flea market brand but there is no disputing their performance.

As for Rockford Fosgate, yeah theyre sold at Best Buy but they make monster amps. Not only do they have a model that will fit just about anybody's need but they make tons more power than theyre rated at and they are built exceptionally well. Plus you get the coolness of having all that history that dates back to the 70's.

My only gripe about RF is that they are too popular. Thats not a slam against them, thats great that theyre so succesfull, its just that Ive always like to use gear that you dont see everyday.

I bought my Pioneer Premier amps from them back in 97. I went back when I re-did my system in 99 but got sidetracked by Audio Tech. A tiny little shop in Temple that had PPI, MB Quart, JL Audio and Eclipse. All look at all those high end toys and I was helpless.....and broke not too long after.

Some of the RF Punch series from the late 80s were well known for making obscene amounts of power with low impedence loads (and they sounded great, too). RF's early product really set the bar for some manufacturers in the market today.

There are people who collect "old school" RF amps (among others from the period) and they can fetch pretty good money from those in the know. Overall, prices have come down some for car audio gear in the last 20 years (or maybe my income has gone up ;) ), but as a result a lot of manufacturing has been moved offshore and some quality issues have cropped up throughout the industry. Buying new gear that was "DOA" was pretty much unheard of back then.

RF has marketed more for the masses as of late, but still put out conservatively rated, reliable products- for a reasonable price point. I have heard some SPL and SQL systems loaded with RF amps and subs that move some serious air for a fairly low outlay of $$. If the goal is ultimate SQ in the car, lower end RF might not be the first choice, but for entry level to mid level systems they're hard to beat. Their Power series subs and amps can sound outstanding when used in a properly designed system- and cost accordingly. There is a mostly RF system across the lane from me that can rattle the cutlery on my dinner table while its master washes the car :).

Wow...such insults from someone not even involved...cheap shots, i guess. How can i have diarrhea of the mouth when i am typing. Isn't "diarrhea of the mouth" = vomiting?? What's up with the constipation of the brain?? Hmmm. I got it...see next paragraph.

Are you anal retentive??!! You must be really fixated on your **** to use those terms over and over again! Well, with your age and all, you must be really concerned if you don't **** each day! My grandmother used to be that way. Good for you!

Psst...Are you ****?! Geez, i would not come out of the closet on a public forum!! Even your profile makes references to you wanting to be "behind" other people. Is "round kick" a new term among the homosexuals?? Is that what they call it now?:D

Insults? You complaining about insults? Now that's interesting. And cheap shots? That's about all you've offered that I can see. And it might help if you didn't take everything so literally.

Hmm, so I use each term just once, in one post, in the history of my posting on this forum, and all of a sudden I 'use those terms over and over again'. There's a logical fallacie in that thinking, but I'll spare you the details; I wouldn't want you to strain anything.

Your Polk gurus/masters (Macleod/exalt/etc) are a bunch of phonies! You should ask THEM if they have been dropped too often as a baby. They claim to know their stuff, yet talk like beginners and can't back up their ****. I encourage the few still open-minded members to read the thread in my signature. You proved something? You proved absolutely nothing. Facts? Since when have 'facts' meant anything in a subjective field such as audio. The only thing that matters in this hobby is the listener and his ears. Facts can sometimes serve as a rough guideline in one's seach, but they should never replace listening to the equipment.

And so, in all your long, stupid thread in which you posted facts and everybody else posted from experience YOU proved nothing.

Hahaha...that's some funny ****! Facts, why do you even need them?! Hell, why do manufacturers even bother posting specs on an amp or speaker?! :D Mind-boggling for sure.

If you read the thread (which i doubt), then you will see that it was much more about specs than "experience". There was very little need for "experience" because none was needed. READ. RE-READ.

The sad part is...if you go by "experience", then Macleod SHOULD have been defending the JL Slash amp, instead of ragging on it! Read the last few posts by me. FACTS & EXPERIENCE on my side.

So, audiobliss, please don't get into this argument. You have nothing to back up the crap that i quoted from you above. Please. Just leave this thread alone.
