Websites for hosting pictures

I think I'm ready to create a (free!) account somewhere that'll host pictures for online photo albums. Imageshack is one option, no? What are some other similar websites? Which are the best? Do they typically have limits on file size and bandwidth and such?

Thanks!

Hmm. Those all three look pretty good. Maybe I'll create an account with all three, and then decide which I like better.

    Thanks for the response.

Well, I created an account with ImageStation.com Unless I'm mistaken, I think the link to my page is www.imagestation.com/members/carmike692000

That should be enough 'albums' for now.

I know at least photobucket automatically shrinks images to a certain size. Good for linking images on message boards and stuff, but probably not for vacation p hotos with the family and whatnot.

If you ever decide to have digital photo PRINTS made, I recommend WinkFlash (www.winkflash.com). Cheap, decent prints, 99 cent flat shipping, adn they're quick too.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I was really impressed with Walgreens prints from digital. They also host images.

Thanks for the info, bobman. It looks like ImageStation offers prints fairly cheap, too, though I don't know what they do about shipping.

    Thanks for the congrats, Frank.

Walgreens - $.19 / print, plus antoher $.50 per 10 prints to ship.
Winkflash - $.12 / print, $.99 flat rate to ship.

Not to mention a much easier to navigate website.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Wow, you made your own? That's cool. What would you say are the main differences between yours and the average online album?

You could always sign up for free for Microsoft's OfficeLive which allows you to easily drag and drop inside of your web browser to build your own web pages. It also allows you to upload images and gives you a good amount of bandwidth to handle image hosting.

You even get a free domain name AND after the beta period ends, you can continue using it for free.

Ooh, thanks for the heads up. I'm definitely going for that. If only I could figure out what I want my domain name to be, though.

Well, dadnabit. Doggoneit, dadburnit, and the whole gammit of 'em.

I just spent at least an hour casually thinking of a domain name I could create for my new office live website. I finally decided on one (michaelsrealm.net; not great, but the best I could think of) only to find that even for the 'free' one, I have to enter a CC number. I wouldn't give it to them anyways, but I don't even have a CC! Argh....

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. They only require it for verification that someone isn't using an automated process to get free web space and domain names (they have to pay for domain names).

I did it several months ago and not a penny has been charged to my card (and there won't be; I stuck with the free package :D)
