I have the csi3 and rti4 as rears. with my Hk what should they be xover @. should I use the 80hz all across the board? or is that only for mains? i was messing with OSD and found the centre and rears had xover @ 200 which seems very high to me.

Thanks

Willow, although your HK can set different crossovers for separate groups of speakers, there doesn't appear to be a compelling reason for you to use other than the commonly suggested 80Hz for all your speakers. Experiments by THX and others determined that 80Hz was a good compromise, being high enough to relieve the speakers and the receiver driving them of a considerable part of the low bass load while not being so high as to easily localize the sub. Since your CSi3 and RTi4s have good response to below 80Hz, that would be an appropriate setting for them.

That's what I thought but for some reason all were at 200,cept mains. Not sure if it was due to the auto set up? shoot and all this time I had never even checked it out.

I don't trust auto set ups. It's better to just do it the old fashioned way.
