The guy was telling me today that his 3yr old took a permanent black magic marker to his 60" LCD screen last night...DOHHHHHHHH!!! Then proceeded to give the TV a "drink" of orange juice...OMG..

Can you imagine?

Not a problem with the permanent marker. Alcohol will remove it unless the finish comes off too. He should try it soon though. The OJ, now that may be a deal breaker.

Like I always say, "Don't give black permanent magic markers to 3-year-olds."

Which leads to my second saying, "Don't let 3-year olds with black permanent magic markers out of your sight."

My kids were never allowed near the electronics. It's all in the up-bringing folks.

Did they ever find the body?
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

I remember when I was about 4-5, I did almost the exact same thing. I went into my parent's bedroom and took a permanent marker to everything, including an original Calder painting. I remember that day, because it was the first time actually feared for my life when my parent's found out...

My Army buddies 2 year old smeared banana all in his preamp button recesses/openings. It was funny (for me).

That child should be called "****" for two weeks and have lunch meat thrown at him by his parents as punishment.

I would then tell them to leave their little hyperactive monster @ home when they come to visit! Or better yet bring their checkbook along so that they can immediately write a check for the damage done to equipment!

Why punish the child? I guess if you have never had children you would automatically say it the kid's fault. Stupid parent.
My little guy is 7 and I have NEVER had a problem with damage. Perhaps it depends on WHO runs the house.

Hear Hear! Mine is only 2, but she knows even at this age that she will be punished severely when she doesn't listen to me. No wonder so many people always say, "She's so well behaved, it's amazing." No, not really amazing. Just hard work on the parents end and consistency. Works wonders

When I was 5, I took a toy drill to the front of my dads bigscreen and put a nice scratch in the screen. It didn't really make a difference when it was on, but you could tell when it was turned off.

Small children rarely damage hi-fi equipment. When they get older and operate the equipment, then they can do real damage:mad:

just don't leave your child home alone and let him play w/ the lawn mower.
I've dialed 911 twice because our neighbor kid has set their front porch on fire due to a gasoline fire. Each time I have a good laugh as he is screaming for help out on the sidewalk. I'm pretty sure the 60" LCD is worth more than their home is though... so it wouldn't be a big deal.
