Well, Carolina just beat buffalo in game 7 of the conference finals, so its edmonton vs Carolina in the finals. Edmonton is the first eight seed to make it to the finals. Are they going to pull what the Pittsburgh Steelers did(being the first last seeded team to win) in the super bowl? or is Carolina going to win their first Cup ever?

I put that last selection on there because Im sure there are people on here who have no idea what Im talking about, or don't care.

I'm definitely rooting for Edmonton! I want a Western Conference AND Canadian team to win the cup. Time to bring Lord Stanleys cup back home!

Oilers! They beat my Red Wings pretty easily in the first round and haven't looked back yet. Amazing for an 8th seed in the bracket! Its the first time ever that an 8th seed won the conference.

My hatred from Carolina runs pretty deep. I also can't stand Brind'amour(or however you spell that **** name). So I am for Edmonton.

I'm hoping it will be the Oilers. They have been an exciting team to watch even when they weren't winning. Ryan Smith is a great team player, gets a puck in the mouth and loses some teeth, gets stiched up and back into the game. Should be a great series.

Who will win? I have a better question, who will care?

Nobody seems to be watching this year. I saw on ESPN that more people watched the national softball championship than the NHL playoffs!!

I guess that strike burned a lot of people out on hockey like it did for baseball. I remember after baseball attendance dropped like a stone and some stadiums were actually giving tickets away!

I guess it depends of where you are! No problem in Edmonton or on Whyte Ave. There was a corporate BBQ today and the local techs hooked up a satellite to pipe in the game at the lake. I guess you need to grow up with hockey of hockey and not see all of a sudden. It's part of our culture here.

I think the main reason is that its on OLN. C'mon, who the hell watches the Outdoor life network. I didn't even know that channel existed before they start playing nhl games. NHL made a huge mistake letting ESPN go. If I were the NHL, I would have asked to stay with ESPN for free. At least OLN is changing their name though.
