Grrrrrrr sub

The other day I tried to balance the visual aspect of my system by moving the sub to the rear of the room. I can't run a sub cable. So with my HK I tried stting the bassMgt to allow all bass to the rears and hook it up via speaker cables. Well it only alows for a max xover at 40hz and that is no good. Is there another way around this or did I overlook a step. I set rears to large and xover to max. Now that I am thinking of it, speaker cable method would force me to use the xover on the sub right? or am I way off...

Quit worrying about the 'visual aspect', and get the sub up front, where it belongs.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

I'd rather have it up front but it limits the width I can place my speaks.
