Silicone is nasty stuff. It migrates like crazy and will cause electrical connections to fail. Used on furniture/speaker cabinets it builds up and leaves smudge marks. In addition, if the item ever needs touch up, it makes doing so a total nightmare.

NO, not for my auto... For my SDA 1C's and M10's... I dont drench them. I spray the cloth lightly and give the drivers a wipe

I wouldn't put armorall on any part of my 1Cs...but especially not on the driver cones! That stuff will damage the material and mess up your speakers.

I hear what you're saying, but others and myself use Windex.. The ammonia and whatever soap that is in Windex cant be any better for the cones than Armoral.

Just a very light wipe with Armoral takes away the slight stickiness to the drivers. I do it like once a year... Like I said, I spritz the rag, not the cones and then wipe them.I keep my grills ON....

Ummm.... the cones are suppose to be sticky.

Again, Windex will not harm the drivers or the surrounds, period.

Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.
