I just purchased a pair of RTi10's and they are awesome. I have a pair of
FXi5's on order (for my surrounds). I'm now looking at a CSi5, a pair of RTi6's for my rear surrounds and a PSW505. From the reviews I've read this is the combination to go with but I'm wondering if anyone has this setup and what can they tell me about it?

I used RT100's, CSI5 and RTi6 and found them to be very good for HT. Well matched. Currently going through an upgrade to LSi series.

You may want to consider another sub. The 505 is nice, but you should be able to do better for that price or a little more. Check out SVS or HSU Research, plenty others besides those also...

You have choosen an awsome pair of speakers, The RTi10's they are great. I have the Fxi3's as my surrounds speakers and the Csi5 as my center. This is a great choice as the timber match and from my experience they sound GREAT. Thaey love power however, more the better. Not sure about the RTi6's though never heard them but was considering the same for my system as rears. As for the sub I would follow Polkmaniacs advice go with a better sub. Well you are on your way to an awsme system, have fun and listen before you buy.

As long as you have some distance between you and the rear speakers, it sounds like the RTi6's will be a good choice. However if your seating is close to your rear speakers, I would recommend going for a non-direct radiating speaker like the FXi5 or FXi3. This will help with eliminating localization of the rear sound. Nothing is more distracting than when you get some rear sound that it is always on your right or left. It should always sound like it is behind you.

Though I have never heard the 505 sub, I can definitely vouch for the quality and sound of the SVS. The SVS sub was probably one of the best additions to my HT system. With their current offer of upgrade options for their current customers, it just reinforces my dedication to their product.

Sounds like you are the right track. Enjoy and welcome to the forum!

I have almost that exact setup. I have 2 Rti10's, Csi5 and 4 Rti6's as surrounds. I also have a SV pb10 isd sub. I love the sound. I have to say that the Rti speakers really do deserve some good power. I am running a Rotel 1075 to the center and surrounds (120 wpc) and a Rotel 1080 to the Rti10's (200 wpc). They aren't a demanding load ohm wise, but they do sound better with some good amplification.

I have to agree with the others and suggest a "better" sub. I think for the money you would be much happier with one of the online offerings..SV, Outlaw, Hsu....They will give you the bass you need for home theater and won't break the bank. Just calculate the volume of your room and then pick the size you need!

Another SVS vote! I'm running RTi8's, CSi5, and plan to add FXi5's in the next couple months.

I just sold a set of rti10,rti6 and csi5. I heard the lsi's and had to sell them right away. I would highly recommend you listen to the Hsu sub before buying anything else. I will also say that the csi5 was an excellent center, full and capable in every regard. The rti 6's are good for the money as well. They will perform nicely as rears. Good luck, and check out Hsu!
