Ok I work at a electronics store and a few months ago I got a good deal on a 5.1 Monitor polk package. It consisted of 1-Cs1 2-Monitor 40's 2-Monitor 30's 1-PSW10 the other night I picked up a Harman Kardon AVR635 im just wondering what other set of polks speakers I should get to complete a 7.1 setup some 40's and use my 30's for the back surround or get another set of 30's for back surround or just purchase 2 more sets of 40's and sell off the 30's im looking for some ideas I want to stay with the Monitor series setup so I appriciate any feed back or ideas that anyone can offer I don't know a whole lot about speaker setups thats why im posting here thank you.

Yeah I work in software I really don't know a whole lot about audio equipment just mainly what people in the store tell me thanks for the input and yeah I am going to eventually upgrade but its gonna be a next year the store manager said when the polk rep comes that employees save 75% off purchases or I can use the 60% now that employees have to sign a paper stating they wont sell the stuff for a year but im gonna save up so I can eventually get a nice surround speaker set. -
Dude,75% OFF???Don't tell anyone around here,they'll be
banging on your door at 3 am.Save your dough and when that Rep
comes around grab the LSI's.What gear are you running?Keep in mind
the LSI line is 4-ohm and a seperate amp is a must.If the LSI line is too
much, hit the RTI line. They will work with any AVR.Man,75% ??:eek:HT SYSTEM-

Congrats on your purchase & welcome.
BTW, does you receiver have preouts?
It will be essential when you upgrade to the LSI's since you will also need separate amplification in order to get the most out of them.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
Majestacal,
Everyone will tell you to get better speakers. . . and, they are probably right. If you can get the LSi series for 75% off and have the money to buy them as well as good electronics/components to complement, DO IT!!!
However, if everyone jumped the gun with LSi talk, and you really want to keep your monitors, I would say either get one more pair of the 30's for rears, or, if you have the room and money, get a pair of monitor 60 towers for fronts, move the 40's to surround and 30's to rear. That way, you upgrade every speaker (except center) at once, and it will greatly improve your 2-channel listening.
