Hi,

Going to be in Toronto for a week in June for some training at Young and Bloor. Would appreciate any suggestions for restaurants or entertainment in the evenings. Maybe even a few audio shops? ;)

regards

Dave

    Hi Dave,

The closest audio shop that I know of is Bay Bloor Radio. They have some nice stuff, but are snobby IMO. It's in the Manulife center, there is also a Cineplex there.

There is lots to do and see in the area. You could even walk to CN Tower or skydome for a Jays game. There's Roy Thompson Hall for concerts, events at the Metro Convention center, hockey hall of fame, Eaton center (pack heat), there's also lots of live theatre in the area. You wont have any problem finding good restaurants. Are you looking for anything specific?

    Strip Club....for the food obviously.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I'd forgotten about the hockey hall of fame! Of course I can't miss that. I tried checking out some concerts. It appears Etta James is performing the week after I'm there. :(

Pretty open to suggestions about restaurants. Thanks for the suggestions Graham.

    Dave,

Here is a guide to TO. Mostly everything you need is here.

    Guide To Toronto

And you need to tour Yonge Street. If it's not there, head to New York City.
I grew up there so trust me, Toronto has all that you need.
Enjoy and have a good, safe trip.
    Michael ;)

Cn Tower has some awesome food. The only problem is that it's expensive! I got a tiny steak and lobster tail for like $80 Canadian but it was the best steak and lobster I've ever had :D

Heh... the company guidelines may allow me to order the french fries then. ;)

Hi Dave, we were in Toronto last year. TN Tower is impressive to see from the top, but the ticket price is expensive. We had a sky view of Toronto baseball game when we up @ the top of CN Tower. We also enjoyed the ferry ride @ the Niagra Fall.

I forgot to mention that the fruits in China Town were very good also. Some of the fruits are not obtainable in the US.

Thanks for the suggestion everyone. They're performing Lord of the Rings - the Musical! It's certainly ambitious ;)

Looks like a trip to the Hockey Hall of Fame is in store and some wandering around the downtown core.

Sorry I think you can head to Queen for some shopping and the Harbour front always has something going on.
