The lsis are over 5 years old i think, and the rtis are almost 4.

Do speaker lines evolve like cars do? as in every 5 years or so?

Why are you worried about a new model coming out. If these speakers sound great, there is no need to come out with new models. I heard people tell me (off the forum) that the old rti series sounds better than the current rtis so.

i'm not worried. just curious. i have no plans in upgrading. I think the current rti's sound better than the old ones. At least when comparing the rti4 vs. the 28i and 25i.

    Is there one coming out?

    I dont know.

But let me go ahead and give you a hint on what to expect.

Go on ebay, type in Polk Audio RT...

    You will see the following...

RT5, RT35, RT35i, RTi38, RTi6 - What do all of these have in common? They all have one 6.5" woofer, they all have 1" tweeters, they all have different cosmetics, and they all sound similar. Except the RTi38 - but thats for another day...

The models I listed are reps for their associated lines. Point is - Polk dosnt "upgrade" - Polk adjusts to the market change. Slap a few different things in there, make the enclosures a lil bigger, give em a new cosmetic lift... and wa la - NEW LINE.

    Dont get your hopes up.
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.
