I just finished reading Peter Robinson's How Ronald Reagan Changed My Life.

What an amazing book. What an amazing man. I'll have to admit, I didn't know much at all about Reagan before reading this book, and I'm sad to say I'm sure I haven't fully absorbed everything I just read about him, but anyone who reads this book will have to conclude Ronald Reagan was, indeed, an amazing man. And Peter Robinson did a great job, in my opinion, of drawing conclusions and practical applications from his observations of Reagan's life. I also enjoyed Robinson's writing style, as well.

Right now I'm browsing through what books Barnes & Noble have about Ronald Reagan, as I'd like to read more about him.

I'm definitely beginning to see that. And a simple, ordinary man of great character and integrity. And as Robinson pointed out in his book, Reagan really demonstrated the power of an individual.

Reagan had a certain presence about him that people were drawn to. Quick witted, he knew how to use the press to his advantage. While he was in office, many in the political circles didn't think he was doing a great job but his popularity was huge. When he ran against Mondale for his second term, Reagan won every state except Mondale's home state (MN). Even there, Mondale just squeaked by with a narrow victory. His political strategy against Russia, pretty much brought down the iron curtain. I believe historians looking back at Reagan 100 years from know will see him as one of the best all around Presidents.
