I am buying a machine from spain and they want to send me a video about it.

In the letter he asks
We have the video tape for the following TV systems:VHS-PAL and SECAM. Please, confirm which one you want.

I do not know which one is for us?

Any help please?

Thanks

Is it a DVD or VHS? If it is a DVD, then you could play it on a computer at least once. If it is VHS, you will have to find a player that can display PAL or SECAM.

there are a couple "universal" players for VHS, but I can't remember which ones for now.

I will have to tell him to put it on NTSC because I am not buying a special VHS player, I need a new TV. :D

They are probably in the same boat as you are, as far as problems with technology. Most players/recorders there are only for PAL/SECAM.

You can ask them to make a DVD transfer, or you can find a place in the US that makes the transfer for you.
