Amp shopping finally over!!!!

After months of research and hammering around Audiogon, Fleabay, local shops, and our very own market, I finally pulled the trigger on an amp and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of a Rotel RB 980BX:D :D
Many thanks to George Daniel and Sami for taking the time and energy to provide me with options -- and for those looking at Adcom, you might want to keep these two in mind.
I know the Rotel may be overkill for my current rig, but I'm always looking down the road and hope that this amp serves me well for years to come.
Thanks also to everyone who offered advise unknowingly through archived posts regarding this amp.... more than a few of you sold me on this model through the power of the typed word before I even knew of the existence of this forum (gotta love that search function:) )
And now that I've started down the path of separates, maybe I'll just take a well-deserved break
-- until the bug bites, of course
Jason
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

    Congrats.
When I bought my amp I thought I was done for awhile.
Several thousand dollars later and I really want to try another couple of thousand dollars worth of something different.
    Does it ever end?

Damn FedEx and their infernal "projected" delivery dates:mad:
Supposed to be here on the 26th (today), and as I will be leaving the office in the next hour, looks like an ETA of Tuesday the 30th is more likley. Talk about a swing. I was quite looking forward to a Memorial Day weekend of basking in the glory of my latest (and greatest) acquisition. Damn 'em!!!

DHL is no better. The estimate delivery is today, but it is more like next Tuesday as it just arrived their local facility, according to their tracking system. Even worst, I will be out of town next week. Either leave it in my front door or ship the damned thing back is no good ...... Anyhow, congrat your new toy :-)
