Could anyone just please confirm if my information is correct that:

I think I have heard somewhere that the RT600i is basically the RT35i as a floorstanding unit, with slightly more bass extension but keeping the RT35i's very fine mids and highs?

Same, is the RT800i the same speaker as the RT55i as far as drivers, crossovers etc, only it is a floorstanding speaker as well?

Any differences sonically or technically, better x-overs or anything else?

Say I want great rears, should I opt for the RT800i since I wouldn't need the stands that would be needed for the RT55i speaks? Thus saving some money there...

ANyone got any good knowledge of this, please share. Thanks.

All I can say is that the RT600i is a great speaker, and the RT800i is probably as well, and should be the better speaker between the two.

I don't know much about the two you are referencing so I am not much help other than to say I really like my RT600i speakers. They'll eventually be used in a secondary rig as I upgrade to full LSi.

drivers are the same 600i and 35i, and 800i and 55i, not positive if the crossovers are 100% the same, why?
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

The 55i has a wider and deeper box than the 35i, 600i, & 800i. I haven't heard the 600i, but the 55i is the clear winner over the other two, imo.

I think it would depend on what you have for the front and center.
If you have big speakers there then go big in the back.
If you have room go for the rt800's.
When I get room I am going to move my rt2000's to the rear.

in todays used market.. you can sometimes find RT800i's for less then a pair of RT55i's. everyone loves the 55i's.. and prices rarely drop much.. whereby the 800i's were gaining a loyal following in their day as well. I use 800i's from fronts. and they can pound pretty good.

bigger is better.. meaning.. the 800i's over the 600i's and the 55i's over the 35i's imho
