    Dude.....

If you knew the time my Dad has spent trying to out wit them. They're a combination of Al Capone and Batman.
You've got to video tape 'em to really appreciate them.

Cute. When I could afford the bird feeder ( ran through the 50lb bags once a week) I had squirrels. I just gave them their own feeder with corn and nuts. I then used a squirrel guard on my bird feeder. Only the really good ones could get past it and if they did then props to them and I let them eat some bird food. The others would try but wouldn't be able to.

    fun stuff,

If you can get close enough for good pic's, you can get close enough to snuff them with an air pellet gun.

Squirrels just have amazing dexterity. I used to put out feeders at my last place on a wire hanging from a tall shepards hook, and they would hang upside down from the shepards hook to eat from the feeder.
    Great pics by the way.

The pictures are good. I had the same problem at one time and just gave up. I ended up getting them their own feeder but... I do hope the ones there aren't shot at. They get hungry just like the birds and are only doing what they have to in order to survive.

I didn't have a problem with squirrels until one of them somehow crawled into my chimney and died. The rotting carcus smelled up my house for several days.

We have two bird feeders, but they are squirrel-proof and they actually work. One of them is dangles from a thin metal rod that is too small for the squirrels to get a good grip on it and climb.

I like the critters too Cindy, but feeding them is not part of the natural selection process. It leads to overpopulation and yes, squirrels etc. in the house. These feeders also draw racoons. A huge percentage of the racoon population has rabies. Racoons are cute critters but can be meaner than a Pit Bull. I don't want my kids anywhere near a racoon. Please do not over feed the animals;)
