I'm sick to death of bland cars from a great car company.

I wish car companies would start making more of their production cars like their concept cars.... that thing is bad ****.If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I'd buy that if they mass produced it...

I think they need to have better lights in the rear and front. I do like the exaust. Just it doesn't seem to blend smoothly clashing between the light design and the rest of the car.

It'll never happen..........
Car shows are a waste IMO......if they ever came out with half the **** they roll out in those, car makers wouldn't have a problem selling stuff.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -
how many concept cars ever make it to market? they are toned down so much.. they no longer resemble their original design.
this is 2006.. don't car makers understand we're tired of same old box looking cars? The only area where cars have shown some forward thinking is in the 2 seater market.. some of those look great. I think some of the 2 seater's out there now, show style, design, and the forward direction cars should be aiming for. Not the same safe design that we have had to endure for the past 30 yrs.
I'm sorry the Honda Element does nothing for me.. look at the mini van market.. they basically all look the same.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

IMO the only car as of late to have a significant market impact from a design perspective is the Chrysler 300. Still LOVE that thing......moment of silence every time I pass one......lolcomment comment comment comment. bitchy.

What about the new Charger? That thing is sweet. Or the New BMW series? That new Nissan from the auto show looks bad to the bone as well. Hope it stays Nissan and not Infinity. (The Nissan GT-R that is )Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

the new charger isn't out, thus minimal (retail sales perspective) impact.
There are cars that have some potential when they hit market, but the industry as a whole doesn't release much that REALLY wants most people to make a purchase.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -

The new Charger has been out for over a year, the new Challenger isn't out yet.If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
That car kicks ****. I love the angular stealth bomber type stuff. That car has a very attractive **** as well. I like the accords now, but that would definitely be a nice improvement.
-
They just did a re-design on the Accord's back end (LED tail lights) and squared it up a bit. I don't think they'd typically refresh on a car that's completely being replaced within a year and a half, would they?
I was thinking Challenger....oops. Still, the Charger was brought out because of the popularity of the 300.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -
I don't particularly like that Acura. I actually would prefer the current TSX.
I certainly don't like the 300M or its derrivatives (Charger, Magnum, etc.), but I'm definitely not in love with it.
MrNightly - You CAN'T actually like the new BMWs, can you?! IMO, they've ruined them. The M3 is/was a beautiful car, in the top three as far as I'm concerned. However, the new styles are angular and bland, and don't look sporty at all imo. Kinda like what Mercedes is doing with their line-up. All the circa 2000 stuff looks great, but now they're going to pot. I seriously wouldn't drive one if you gave it to me. I'd just sell it.George Grand wrote: »

And ya, I do like the new 3 and 5 series BMW's. I believe they are sharp, defined, and stand out when they drive by. The rear lights are awesome, and I regard their new models as a step up body style over the older ones. I bet you wouldn't complain if you had one sitting in your driveway buddy!Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

Yup. Honda does minor refreshes, sometimes from the front but usually from the back about 1-2 years before a total re-design of each Accord. Each design lasts on average of 5 years. See the 89, 92, 96, '02, and now '06. redesigns. Ironically, these re-designs come out at the same time the newly designed Toyotal Camrys begin hitting showrooms. That's no coincidence.
This design has already been given the go-ahead in Japan, they're calling it the "honda sports 4" which is also Accord in the states. Generally, every European variant of the US Accord is slightly smaller and more sporty- a-la Acura TSX.
I also agree with Audiobliss regarding BMW's, but for entirely different reasons. I think the outer shells look great, and are big improvements for the 5, 7 and especially 3series. Performance has also been increased. My beef is with the 'new' interior design, dash layout, and I-Drive systems. The I-Drive is a total miss altogether, and the layouts of the dash don't have that driver oriented feel to them anymore like the late '97-2003 bimmers had. The new 3series layout is particularly disappointing. -
My next car will likely be another Honda. This one would be very tempting should it become a reality. It sure looks nice. The grill could use a little change though.
-
I can't believe it. I really can't. Somebody actually prefers the looks of the new BMW's over the previous generation?
Sure, I wouldn't complain if there was one sitting in my drive-way...but I wouldn't drive it. And I'm dead serious. There are a lot of cars that aren't on my favorites list, but I would have. If someone gave me one of the new 3-series BMW's, I'd sell it. I just can't stand the way it looks now, especially knowing how it used to look. BIG mistake in my eyes. I'd PAY to have a previous M3 than a new one.
The car industry is really becoming quite sad.

I'd take THIS M3...
...over an M version of THIS 3-series...
...anyday.
Why? Because the former looks good.Booya!! -
I'll definitely second that. That first M3 looks great. I especially like the way they look from the rear.George Grand wrote: »

I guess I'm not with a lot of you guys when it comes to German cars. I absolutely adore older 70's and 80's German cars. I'd take a BMW 2002 or e30 M3 or VW Rabbit GTI over those ANYDAY! I guess the only problem is that they're so hard to come by in really good shape. I'm just a really big fan of the boxy "euro" look from the 80's... I seem to like my dads 1990 Jetta shape better than my own 1994 Jetta.
-
how about a more fair comparison Chuck Norris? An older style m3 vs. the 2007 m3... not a 2007 bmw 325i..
no comparison if you ask me. The new one. Aside from the looks- v8, 400 hp vs. i6, 333hp. but to each his/her own.
(edited) -
My only major gripe would be the rear headroom at entry......looks like the backseat is more of a half back than full seat......guess it all depends on how far it dives into the trunk.comment comment comment comment. bitchy.

I'm quite sure the M3 does not have a V10 developing 500hp. That would be the new M5.
That M3 does look very nice, I'll concede, but that's not a very fair comparison either, as the wheels on a car often time 'make the car', and those are not nice looking wheels on the older M3.George Grand wrote: »
