    Yes, it is being made. Not sure of the release date, but it is the Richard Donner cut of the film. The other great thing is the audio and video will be absolutely pristine like the first film.

    Definite buy here!

    Interviews with Richard Donner and Michael Thou, the cast, and editors... Warner Bros. says November 28th release for all 4 Superman movies "Special Edition" 13disc set.

    Is there some sort of SE version of Superman 1 that I don't know about? I have 1 & 2 and they look like some of the frist DVD's released (yes they look that old) and I have only had them about 4 months. The version of Superman 2 that I have doesn't even have DD. Am I missing out on something here?

    Coming on November 28th,
    The 1st movie will span 4 dvds. (theatrical release, special edition, extras)
    The 2nd movie will span 3 dvds (theatrical/Lester release, Richard Donner cut, and extras) - The 2nd movie will have commentary and 5.1.

    Supes 3 and 4 will be 2disc deluxe editions each, with special features and commentary. It'll be interesting to see if they put back the 45 minutes they edited out of part IV just before it's theatrical release.
