Sunfire or Outlaw

My 7.1 System:

LSi 25
LSi FX
LSi 9
LSi C
PSW1000

Question is.....Do I get the Outlaw 7700 or the Sunfire Cinema Grand 200-7 Channel .............Price is not a issue here because the Outlaw I would be paying full boat for and the Sunfire would be close to the same cost because of a deal with a friend.........So price aside, which one should I go with?

Money aside, I would most definitely go with the Sunfire gear.

Outlaw represents a great value. Good power, lots o' power, solid gear. However, they just don't have that sweet sound, that musical ability, the tender finesse you get with gear such as the Sunfire.

Now, those who have actually heard either or both of these, chime in and tell me if I'm wrong.

money aside, get the Sunfire. The doubling up at 4ohms says it all. Outlaw amps can't do that.

My LSis sounded good with my old Outlaw 7 channel 200 watt amp (770) but now they sound great with my Earthquake Cinenova which doubles into 4 ohms to 600w. I have never heard the Sunfire but I can tell you that there is a lot to be said for more power for the LSi series.

I have used an outlaw with my lsi setup. It doesn't sound very impressive to me. I would demo the sunfire.

Haven't heard the Sunfire but I have owned a pair of Outlaw M200 monoblocks. They're decent, but as mentioned before, they're missing the refinement and sweet musical sound you'll experience with higher-end brands/amps. My M200's were replaced by a PS Audio HCA2 with less rated power @ 150 Watts, but still a noticeable step up in SQ (I used both amps with the LSi9 and LSi15). I never trusted the power ratings of those M200's anyways. Somewhere I read they switch to class G after 80 watts - what the hell is class G??? If you're getting a good price break on the Sunfire I'd go for that!

Hopefully I'll have a Parasound Halo A21 to replace the HCA2 in a week :D
