Has anyone else seen this?
I bought it for the wife a while ago, and just watched it a second time. Wow... excellent show. I love the plot!
I won't say much, because I don't want to ruin it for those that haven't had the pleasure of seeing it yet, but you need to if you haven't. Good acting, excellent screen-write, and decent sound on top of it all.
It definitely falls into the suspense / slight scary movie genre. But very intelligent film, that makes you REALLY think at the end.
I highly recommend it. Some great scenes where you jump outta your skin with the bass too.
Go rent it. Forget that, buy it!
Oh ya, If ya liked, "Secret Window" you'll love this one.

Chris
Secret Window was an instant classic in my mind. Johnny Depp is one of the most premier actors of our day, and his role in Secret Window solidified it!
Kate Hudson does an outstanding job in Skeleton Key. Not overdoing it, but seems to hit the role right on the head. Give it a watch-see and let us know what you thinkHonoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

I think that might be a bit extreme.... Secret Window was a cool movie and all, but hardly a cinematic masterpiece. I actually liked John Turturro better than Johnny in that movie. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -

Well, for my small easy to please mind, it isn't really an overstatement. The plot had the WOW factor, the twist, the suspense. I thought that Mr. Depp's performance was unbeatable, and the supporting cast perfect. A bit extreme to some perhaps, but not really to me.
And they did have some cinematic firsts, such as having a moving scene where Depp was twined and continually popping in and out. If you watched the extras, it was never done before and they pulled it off seamlessly.
Again, similar to Audio, movie tastes aren't always shared by all I gave Secret Window a 9 outta 10. But it's also my genre, so Maybe I'm prejudice?Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

Why is that? Care to give details of why you didn't like it? The movie itself or the "Idea" behind the movie (ie. Occult?)Honoured to be, an original SOPA founding member

Well, The part that turned me off the most was when the old ladie had broken legs but was able to get to the only door that did not have brick dust in front of it.... I mean the girl was hauling and should have been able to cover every door before the woman got ther but oh no not in a movie. Also the part where the evil lawer guy walks across the brick dust while coming in to some old ladies house does not make sense to me either. I just thought that the movie did not flow and that the climax was weak at best. Left me wondering what was ggoing on even in the end of the movie. I guess it just did not sit well with me.Harman Kardon AVR635

Well ya he crossed the dust... it is all in the mind. That was all part of making her believe... but I don't want to spoil it for the others.
And I have to disagree with you about the climax. One of the best in my books. But different strokes for different folksHonoured to be, an original SOPA founding member
