Harman Kardon at Target?

I was in Target last night looking for Mother's day stuff and I found my way to the electronics section. I stopped short when I saw a HK AVR240 receiver on the shelf. They also had HK and Athena HT speaker systems. I was very surprised to see these brands at Target. Props to Target for trying to expand their market...but I'm not sure they will sell. I can vision a scenario where the salesperson, talking to an interested customer, saying something like: The HK has very low wattage, buy this GE HTIB it has over 1,000 watts for only $149..
**Also this was at a Target Greatland store, not sure if the smaller "regular" Target stores carries them**

Not sure becuase there were no shelving stickers. It looked like they just set up the section because I saw some papers with shelving allocation guides on them..Receiver: harmankardon AVR235

I just checked their WEB site - they have several models there, but not the 240. Here is the 340:

I hate that new look. Give me the old black on black.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

Agreed, I love the look of my 525.
I love a good blue LED once in a while, but it just looks cheesy on those receivers. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
The AVR 635 is going for $999, it can be had for $599 (refurb) or $6xx new.
The Athena 6000 is going for $399; it can be had off of Amazon for $249 new.

....that Athena 6000 has a BASH amp, btw.
Nice to see Target is spreading its wings, though. The prices will eventually come down. Competition is good for the consumer.Sal Palooza -
