Hey there fellow Polk owners,

I am new to the world of Polk Audio speakers. I would like to introduce myself by saying that I had just picked up my first Polk center channel speaker; the CS1 and a set of Polk Monitor 30 series bookshelf speakers. I came from a little plastic Bose center channel speaker, and two Bose Bookshelf Series 20 speakers. The sound difference is like night and day. I honestly do not think I will be going to any other speaker brand. Phenomonal, thats all I have to say.
And yes, in case you've noticed I am running only a 3.1 configuration :(. I have Advent (can't remember the model) speakers for my rears, but they are at my parents house. Well, I hope this was the right place to introduce myself, and I look forward to getting to know all of you. Take care!! :)
My Living Room 3.1 config:
Toshiba 40RV525U
Receiver: Onkyo TX-NR609
Center channel: Polk CS1
Front L/R: Paradigm Reference Studio 20
Subwoofer: Velodyne DPS-10
Rears: None

My Computer setup
Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 THX

    Welcome to club Polk.

You could always put the Bose speaks you had in front in your rear speaker position until your advents come back.

    Just a thought - and a welcome. :)

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Wow, thanks for all the welcomes! :) Well, the reason my Advents are at my fathers, is because I am currently renting, and my wife objects to the thought of drilling holes in the floor (to run the speaker wire from front, under floor in the basement and up at the rear. She also doesn't like the fact of hanging the speakers. We have three cats and a baby due in September also.

But yea, it is an expensive Hobby. If you take a look at my sig, I do plan on upgrading my Reciever and subwoofer very shortly. I have a small - medium size room, so I best get my research going!

Again, thanks for all the warm welcomes! I'm glad to be a part of the polk club! :)
