Oh man,

I am stoked.

I just received the first deck this morning.

A MINT condition TC-WR901ES dual well tape deck. It is in new condition with original box and manual, and also included the removable wood side paneling! Deck has 3 motors per well, motorized cassette doors and DOLBY S.
This is a machine released in 1993 and is considered one of the best cassette decks made. Original list price was $850+

The second one I purchased is the successor to the TC-WR901ES, and its the TC-WA9ES. Released in 1995 and it was the last ES top of the line deck sold by Sony.

This one retailed for $1000.

If anyone has any more info on these please let me know.

    Pics, please!!

I still have my Sony TC-670K, which was Sony's non-ES top-of-the-line single deck from 1991. 3-motors, 3-heads, motorized tape loading and back-lit cassette well. I need to put this deck back into the system.

I just received it today at work, so it is in my office.

Only digital camera I have is a quickcam so the quality is going to suck.

here is the deck sitting on a retired server case.

The other pic was the one took for the Ebay auction i won.

I'll take better pics of the tape deck and my system once I integrate it into my Home Theater.

Can't wait for the next one to arrive, my TC-WA9ES. The 901ES I got today has cleaner front panel lines, but I believe the WA9ES has more features, even though the specs are similar/identical.

I sold my Nak Dragon, and I've been using a 909ES for a while now, and couldn't be happier.

    Solid decks.

My TC-WR99ES is one hellava deck. These are an often overlooked source for decent music. Enjoy.
