I just had an idea to make an outfit out of these with kind of a utility belt ala Batman style made of Sonic T amps.

I helped Darren Kuzma (manager at Parts Express) set up a pair of line arrays he built with BG RD50 planars (50" length) and they were mediocre at best. The problem is they have a horrible top end that drops off rather quickly above 15k and they need a ton of power to get moving (88db/1w, which is a lot for a line array). They also require a notch filter to flatten out their frequency response, which we used, and it still had problems up high.
One plus side is you can use one of their planars with active EQ and get a pretty nice sound. They also dig down to about 300hz (site says 150hz, don't believe them) so you can use them in a line array with 8" or 10" drivers and avoid any comb filtering you would normally get. -
what's going on with the variable/ fixed crossover on the powered sub?
