I am changing my small room around and have a small space now for the 2 channel.. whats the rule of thumb for spacing? I have RT25i speakers mounted on the wall.. right now i tried 32" apart and 35" to the bottom of the speaks off the floor... wood slat wall behind, open doorway on the right.. corner on the left.. lemme know.. its about 6-8' to the seating from the speakers

There is some kind of triangular formula regarding your listening position and speaker placement, but I don't remember what it was.

Of course, just do what sounds best.

isnt it, the space between speakers is the same as the space from your seat to the speakers?

Yea, rule of thumb is an equalateral triangle between the spooks and seating area.

However another rule of thumb is to give the spooks as much room to breathe as possible. ie no corner placement. couple of feet behind and to the sides is optimum.

Polk Paul got me searching. I must say, very interesting. Wonder if these things are for real or snake oil?
