Well we leave this Saturday morning for a 7 day trip to Liberia. We are not staying at a resort. This time we are staying in a B&B which is across the way from the beach in Playa Ocotal.
Beside the usual tourist traps what should we be looking to do or avoid.
Here is the situation, my wife and I are going up with a friend and her 3 yr son and this friend's sister who is about our age. Their parents live in the B&B while they wait for their house to be built. Any ideas on what we could do keeping in mind a lil'boy. Now many times the 4 adults that are going down will escape (at least my wife and I will) I'm looking for interesting things to do.
We just did the lying on a beach at a resort in January of this year I don't want to do that again. Of course I will go to the beach.
We will be with the locals, going to the grocery store to buy food for lunch and dinners and so on.
Any ideas, anything would be appreciated.

Thanks

Don't be it's a chance of a lifetime, we just have to pay our flight down and we will get a very good discount on the room. Heck about one month ago I wasn't even going it was just the girls cause I thought I couldn't get the time off work. A lil sweet talkin' to the boss and co-operation from fellow staff. If it was not for a couple of my coworkers giving up their holidays, I'd sittin at home watching the leaves bud on the trees in our backyard.

    Thanks

Have a great time! My admin is leaving for Costa Rica on Sunday, although I believe she is staying at a resort this time.

Liberia has a tourist trade? I thought all they did was register dilapidated tanker ships...
    More later,

Ottawa, Newark. Newark right into Liberia and the reverse on the way home with an afternoon, night and morning in Newark.
All that to say yes right into Liberia.

In that case, I can't help much- I didn't get any further North & West than Arenal. PM CR Boy- he was a big help when I went there.

OK another question, we have time to kill on the way back in Newark, without going to far from the airport is there anything interesting to do? how is the duty free shop? is it decent size, the one in Ottawa is a joke the new airport is a beauty btu the shop is no bigger than our closet....and our city is at 1mil plus in population.

    Thanks
