I am just looking for basically a display that shows the sounds like a graphic equilizer displays however I want it to be sweet looking. I have never seen anything like what I am describing but figured a few of you seasoned veterans might be able to steer me in the right direction. One with blue lights for the columns that light up would be optimal. I don't need it to do anything just light up and look "Sweet".

You're talkng about a spectrum analyzer display. Kenwood made one back in the 80's but I don't recall the model.

These are nice. Made by Audio Control. Soundcraftsmen used to make a nice one too. This one had 30 rows of about 15 LED's each. Quite a looker!

Dbx 20/20 they're one of the best equalizers made period.
    They're multifunctional (eq,spl meter,analyzer,auto adjusting,etc).

ESAVINON Yes, but it has to look cool.
Basically I don't really care that it does anything but give real time readouts in some cool blue colors. If it works great, but I want a huge screen with tons of moving lights on it. It is not for practicality use necesarily, just for esthetics.

The dbx 20/20 has a ton of red led's that dance with the music.
thr led's takes most of the front face. It looks very sofisticated with many buttons and levers. let me see if i can steal a picture of one for you.

I couldn't get a good pic of them lit up due to the glass in front of them. It has red led's btw.

I remember people used to build circuits and make their own. Maybe you could search that on google and find out how. Just think, you could go all out and do like 30 rows of 30 blue leds. That would be impressive.

Actually, the Optimus / Realistic 10-band jobs from the mid to late 80's have a great display - and you can pick them up for a song. Grey / Blue segmented LED's IIRC.

Search on BSR and ADC while you're at it.

Look at this sexy photo! Now this would be worth having but I can not find much about this item. I also believe that it is extremely expensive:( . I do not know if it is still in production or how much it costs but any info would be greatly apriciated, including thoughts on what it would cost if it were available on ebay or audiogon.

Have you thought about adding some power meters to watch while you listen?
