What makes a speaker rattle?

I was tweaking my setup when the center speaker started to rattle (clicky static??) while watching satTV, I've never had this before (doing it on at least two channels while I was watching). Any suggestions as to the cause? I switched to a DVD and no such thing. I am wondering cause I was playing with the setup and figured I might have touched something I shouldn't have.

It certainly sounded like it, but the unusual part is that I've NEVER heard it do it before. Maybe it was a sat glich? Very strange.
