I currently run RT55i's as my mains, CS245i center, RT25i surrounds, and a PSW350. I have an opportunity to pick up a pair of RT1000p's for $250. I know that's a great deal, but how will they match with either of my existing pairs?

Although they are slightly differnt, they should be an excellent match to your current speakers. There are very few, and minor, differences between the 1000p's and 1000i's. For that price, you should be able to try them in your system and resell them easily if you decide you don't like them.

BTW, welcome to the forum. From the looks of it, you are a Polk lover too. Enjoy your time here.

How dare you ahorvitz? Copying my exact speaker config! Oh wait, your changing to RT1000p's? Muhaha, my individuality is saved! :D

On a later note, wow its a dull day at the office.

Back to the meat of the post, did you do the switch? What differences have you heard between the two?

Personally, I'd pass on those and use the money towards a sub upgrade.

    Integrated Amp: Krell S-300i
    DAC: Arcam irDac

    3.2 Home Theater Setup:

    Fronts: Klipsch RP-160M
    Center: Klipsch RP-160M
    Subwoofer: SVS PB12NSD (X 2)
    AVR: Yamaha Aventage RX-A2030
    Blu Ray: Sony BDP-S790
    TV Source: DirecTV Genie
