Refurb AVR 635 can be had on Ebay for around $450-$480. Add a few bucks in shipping.

**Warning: I bought a book four weeks ago with free shipping and it arrived 8 days later via USPS. The book was $33. I'm not so sure a $600 receiver would survive 8 days in transit. However, if you went to Fry's the price is $599 + tax.

In my experience, when you choose free shipping at Amazon, they wait 4 or 5 days to ship it. It doesn't spend any more time in transit than any other ground package.
