I know it is nothing compared to some of your rigs, but I wanted to show you what the new stereo cabinet I purchased from Diamondcase furniture.

Yes...yes...I am still waiting for Panasonic to make my new 50" Plasma (600U series) so ignore the tube TV on top. You just have to pretend. I am still addicted to "Lost" so I need something to watch it on until I can get the Plasma mounted.

Can you make things, like candles, vibrate off the table?

Bachelor pad. Seems I am the picky one in the household. The two himalayan cats only require food and a place to jump on. So is that maintaining a high HAF (Himalayan) or CAF (cat)? Here is a picture of my boys I took with my cell phone (thus bad quality) as I was leaving for work:

    Looking good.

Try bringing your 12's out a little, break that 'plane' of the front of the cabinet.

    Cheers,

Beautiful cats! Yes they approve, & if they are very adventurous they might decide to pose on top of your speakers or warm themselves on the back of the TV! :D My Tammy use to like doing that!

What kind of carpet pattern is that in front of the stand?

I like that you can eventually grow into a 80" LCD TV in the future, so you've done well in that regard. Also, I'd bring your center out a little bit.

    Brett,

I have a Roomba Vacuum cleaner (i.e. a robotic vacuum). That is the pattern it makes against vertical services as it "feels" its way through the room.

    Yes...yes... I like my house automated...umm... or I am lazy. I can't remember which.

Very Nice. What's the load factor on that versus the weight of your TV? I had one a while back that indicated 200LBS and the TV weighed 120LBS. Within a week it started to buckle and I pulled the TV off.

According to the maker (Diamondcase Designs), there is no TV 60" or smaller that will buckle it. It is tongue grooved and glued with Birchwood designed to hold a lot of weight. Even with all my components and this very heavy tube TV, it does not even give or creak when I push it around on my carpet.

It also has three exhaust fans built into the compartments. These fans are speed adjustable so that if you are pushing the system during a movie, you can crank it up, or if you are just listening to romantic music you can keep them turned down to just keep the heat off.

However, a bit of caution. It was not cheap. I think I will start riding my bike to work. :)
