Hi Simphiwes. Denon does not make separate power amps but there are plenty of other makers of better separate amps to choose from.
Denon makes a good product, just pick the one that has all the features you want & make sure it has preouts & you will be all set!Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
Hi Simphiwes,
I have Denon AVR3806. It has all the bells and whistles for audio/video. As cfrizz said make sure you get the one with preouts. A month ago I have added B&K AV5000 5 channel amp. I have bi-amped my front Rti8s and running the centre straight from the B&K amp.
The Rti8 were a little on the bright side (IMO) with the Denon alone. After I added B&K amp the silk dome tweeters mellowed down on 8s and it sounds sweet. When I say tweeters are bright I mean with music only.
Most standalone amps with reasonable power supply will run your 8s nicely.
