CSi40 question

I just purchased a pair of RTi70's and a matching CSi40.

With my 60" RPTV on a 6.25" riser, the dialogue from the center channel (positioned on top of the monitor), isn't really anchored to the screen (voices seem to float about a foot above the screen).

As a temporary solution, I placed the speaker upside down with the tweeter closer to the top of the monitor. Is this okay? I've heard of laying bookshelf speakers on their side, but never heard anything about turning the center channel upside down.

What about building some sort of wedge to place up underneath the back of the speaker to angle it towards the listening position?

If my current solution won't work, can anyone suggest a center channel speaker stand? The only place around here that sells them is HiFi Buys and they want somewhere around 150 bucks for some custom made, european "designer" stand.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Yes, if you can manage it, I'd think that'd be a solution to your problem. Having said that, you must have rather discerning and discriminate hearing to be able to identify your setup as problematic.

i have my cs400i on top of my entertainment center (you can see a pic. in the system showcase). i used the rubber feet that came with my rt800i's to prop up the rear of the cs400i and angle it down towards my listening position. worked wonders, give it a shot...
