CS1000p worth the size?

I have a CS1000p and it sounds great. However, I have small kids and I worry about putting it anywhere near where they can get to it. I sometimes wonder if a ls350 or some other polk center could do as good a job and save me some aggravation on the size issue. My wife officially in complain mode since I have two SVS 20-39's, rt20p's, and surrounds. Please give me your opinion.

I love mine and have no intention of changing it out.
You can probably get good sound from a different speaker if you wanted to but why?
Are you afraid the kids may pull it down or mess it up?
Either way another speaker will be heavy enough to do harm and they could mess with any speaker if they want.
If you decide to sell it let us know here first.
