if you get the chance, see the legend! i've seen him 5 times now. last night was the best! his voice was strong as ever! bb & lucille were stellar as well! the band absolutely cooked! i saw him in '02. i was disappointed then. 'ol b seemed tired. last night was astounding! he's very proud that he's 80 now too. a few times i got kind of a lump in my throat. here's a guy who's done what he does for 60+ years, still making people happy. and he's thanking us! bb king is a real class act!

I wanted to see him when he was in dsm a few months ago, but didn't even realize he was coming to town until it was too late to get off work. Glad you enjoyed it!

Awesome. Is he on tour right now?
I saw him a few years ago in a festival in Cincinnati with Buddy Guy and Tommy Castro too. Great show.
Last time I saw a BB in a live performance, it was actually in the Live by Request TV show a couple years ago. I thought he looked tired in that show, and I was concerned that he may have been having health issues. Glad to hear he was in great form last night!5.1 and 2.0 ch Basement Media Room: Outlaw 975/Emotiva DC-1/Rotel RB-1582 MKII/Rotel RB-1552/Audiosource Amp 3/Polk LS90, CS400i, FX500i/Outlaw X-12, LFM-1/JVD DLA-HD250/Da-Lite 100" HCCV/Sony ES BDP/Sonos Connect. Always a GREAT show!Political Correctness'.........defined

He will be here at Memphis in May Musicfest this weekend, but I don't think I'm going to the show that night. Plus, it wouldn't be as intimate of a setting as I'd like. Hopefully, he'll be back in the area soon.Tschüss

at the end of the show, bb introduced all of his family members plus his doctor! sadly, he said 2 weeks ago that he buried a son and 2 days ago he buried a great- grand son. amazing guy! oh btw, i scored center stage 10th row! he absolutely looked in great health! to think what he's been thru recently! -
Zach if you're smart you will go & see him when he comes to town now. It's not a good idea to wait when you're talking about someone his age. Especially if he is dragging his doctor around with him!okiepolkie wrote:He will be here at Memphis in May Musicfest this weekend, but I don't think I'm going to the show that night. He performs Friday night, and I won't be able to go out of default. My wife and I are going to be babysitting(big bucks) for a few people that attend a local bbq/drunkfest.
Here is the line-up for the weekend. http://www.memphisinmay.org/site.asp?cid=113
I am going to be attending on Saturday evening if everything works out.
I mentioned a couple months ago that I am a Cake fan, so I am going to see them Saturday night.Tschüss

actually, it was kinda sad to see bb in a wheelchair! they wheeled him to the back of the stage. then, he walked out, did his bows and sat the f--k down for 1 hour and 45. he had more energy and excitement in that chair than most performers! when the show was done, he got up under his own power and walked off. only to come back and do some bows. bb's a huge guy, with diabetes and bad knees. he seems close to his dr..if he's at a place where he can afford such a fully staffed entourage, god bless!;) -
