Proceed AMP5

Well, I have been looking for a 5 channel amp for some time now and I just received my Proceed AMP5 this evening and WOW, what an amp. This amp really brings things to life. The mid and highs have more detail and I am not sure technically how to describe this, but it almost seems that the cloudiness in the vocals has disappeared. My most appropriate analogy would be like using a squeegee to clear a window. The film has gone and the clarity is very apparent.
There is no comparison between this amp and the Rotel RB-1080. I played about a dozen songs on the Rotel and Proceed and it is night and day. Dont get me wrong, I like the Rotel, but the Proceed is in yet another league. When I can take a pair of RTi100s and notice a significant difference in tonal quality, I can only imagine what the difference would be like on much better pair of speakers. In two weeks, I will know the difference as the LSis should be here by then.
I know it is time to kick it up yet another notch by dumping the Yamaha RX-V1500 and add a Proceed AVP2 to compliment the AMP5. Separates is definitely the way to go for me. Thanks again to everyone for all your advice. You truly make this hobby a lot of fun.

Never heard of Genesis before. Of course, that does not mean anything. I haven't heard of most things.
Thanks for taking the time to answer. Enjoy your amp!Holydoc (Home Theatre Lover)
