You can find Rti8 for the same or less than Rti6. My question is why? You would think the 6 wouldn't sound as good? 2 woofers vs one. And has less wood? So anyone have an idea and any opinons on which sounds better if you don't need any/ much bass?

    Go big or go home....kidding. Depends on what you are looking for,WAF might come into play, size of room, receiver power. But I don't see the 6's being the same price as the 8's.

    Go for the 8's. More woofers, bigger cabinents, deeper sound.

    Thats the prices I see. I was wondering why?? More wood extra woofer. I have the rti6 but know someone who wants to buy some. If the 8 are better should he get those instead? I hear ppl recommend the 6 over the 8 on searches buy I never heard the 8. Bass isn't an issue the mids and highs .He has a killer sub. But if the mids and highs are equal a deepes sound won't hurt. Just curious to why the cost??

    I'm guessing it's market pricing. Production cost may not be the issue. They can sell the RTi6's at the price they're asking. This speaker is in high demand. The RTi8's may have more market price competition. More profit on the RTi6's. Just a guess.

    The prices posted on this board have the RTi8's much more expensive than the RTi6's. The price says:

    RTi6 = $380/pr = $190 Each
    RTi8 = $350 Each.

    Polk has them priced as:

    RTi6 = $459.95/pr = $230 Each
    RTi8 = $ 839.95/pr = $440 Each

    For some reason I am missing where the RTi8 is cheaper than the RTi6.

    just go for the RTi 10's and make the decision easier. LOL

    seriously. if it were me.. i'd always go with floorstanders, even if it took me longer to save up for. I'm a floorstanding type of guy.

    heehee...no problem Mike. We all do it at one time or another. All we can hope is that we do not do it publically.
