I recently went all LSi in my theater system. I had a Carver m4.0t amp laying around after swapping it out of my 2 channel for a Hafler 500. WHy I didnt put it in my theater earlier I dont know. but WOW, what a difference, even from going to the Outlaw Monoblocks to the Carver to power the LSi15 mains.

I now have the outlaws biamped to the LSiC and the Rotel RB980 to the surrounds. 500 per channel to the mains, 300X2 to the center and 200 to the surrounds, and the LSi's suck it up fine. Bigger difference in the front soundstage that I thought I would get. overall sounds just cleaner and more....effortless, if that makes sence.

I've been rocking my theater with concert DVD's all day (stayed home from work) and LOVIN IT. just goes to show, the LSi's crave every friggin watt they can get there hands on eh?

had the Carver sitting in my basement doing nothing for a month, why didnt I do this earlier?!?!

The Lsi's really needs more power to sound their best. My old Lsi9's bass sounded bloated with just AV reciever power. :p

Awesome! I always felt that should be a legitimate excuse for missing work. New audio/video equipment.
There should be a work excuse issued for that for sure. :D

Mind if I root around in your basement for other stuff you're not using?

I can't wait for the day I buy an amp to drive my speakers. Every one always says what a difference and I want to experience this myself. One day....one day soon.
