Is there any way I can wall-mount my Monitor 40 rear surrounds? I've already had my Paradigm Cinema ADP in the corners at bipole positions and was thinking about mounting my Monitor 40 on the wall. Maybe like position them facing the TV. Maybe get like a shelf you hang a plant on or something and then put the Monitor 40 on them and then face them towards me? towards the TV? And then put my Paradigm's back in the corners? Or mount them on my wall behind my couch? Help me out
CURRENT SYSTEM:

I've got an old HTiB you could have... put it under the couch right by the rear speakers. RE507 I think???? It's got a great 25watts per channel and super-bit technology. dts capable with fully integrated sdds stands.

It would take care of your 40's problem entirely. What do ya think?

    Three easy steps:
    1)RTFM:
    http://www.polkaudio.com/downloads/manuals/home/Monitor_Manual.pdf

2)Note the section w/ the keyhole slots.

3)Apologize to the group for wasting oxygen that we might need someday.

    Lsi...

I am a newb in the forum and I was worried that I was asking too many questions. boy, do I feel better. Haven't you noticed from past posts that people on the forum don't want to answer every little ? that pops in your head...

anyway, to answer your question above, hears what you want to do. First, grab a metal hanger from your closet. second, get a drill. If you don't have one, go and buy the most expensive one you can afford cause you need precision! Now, drill a hole right through the cabinet of the speaker. Now , get your hanger, untangle it, stick it through the hole. heres the tough part, wrap it around your driver so you don't put to much weight on the cabinet. Put a nail on the wall and wala! you have a wall-mounted speaker!

    Tommyboy

well... now that i think about it, scratch that and get a shelf. Your speaker might not work ever again if you use my wall mounting speaker method.

Oh man, you guys are nasty. I'm laughing my face off here, but nasty none the less (is that one word?)

Seriously though, lsi I wouldn't bother anymore. I don't think you are going to get a serious response from anyone here, even if you were to ask a good question. If you are looking for information I would just do searches and see what has been discussed in the past.

    Good luck

Throw your pioneer's in the trash, put your 40's up front for your mains where they belong with your CS1 and use the Paradigm's for your surrounds.

Are these your mains?? If so, that's not the kind of bass I'D want. You can pick up MANY MANY inexpensive subs that would provide several levels better bass response than those.

I'm actually looking for somebody to buy my Pioneer's off me right now cuz money's a little tight for me and my gf. Having 4 kids with 1 on the way puts a little damper on the wallet. But nobody wants them cuz they're old and the sub is not factory. The sub actually had been blown when my dad gave them to me but the mids and highs are really good. I actually replaced the sub with a Kicker CR-12 8ohm 300 watts peak (I think). But I had planned on putting my monitor 40's up front as soon as I got a sub to push bass from all my speakers to. If anybody wants them I HAVE to have 200 dollars. Cuz that's what I paid for the 2 subs in them.

No offense, intended, but you might want to take the kickers out, make them a box and put an old Crown amp(or similar) on them.

OMFG! Dude those are it. I haven't been able to find them. So you dont think I can get anything at all out of them. I think these 2 **** pillheads that my gf is friends with that I think wants them. But I dont have a sub right now and thats the only bass I've got. Even the low level PSW 10 is better than those 2 Kicker's?
